Joanna has worked in financial markets for nearly twenty-five years and has held various senior investment roles running multi-asset, multi-manager and alternative funds. Her most recent role was as Director of Alternatives and Private Markets at St James’s Place, where she ran the alternatives investment team and had a primary focus on alternative investments within the SJP investment proposition. She was also a member of the SJP Investment Committee, overseeing ~£180bn of assets invested across equities, bonds, multi-asset and alternative strategies with external fund managers.
Prior to joining SJP Joanna worked at several asset managers, most latterly at Aberdeen. She has also worked at RBS Asset Management, running investment funds for Coutts clients and started her investment career at M&G Investments.
Joanna also sits on the Board of literary charity English PEN, where she acts as Treasurer and Chair of the Finance and Audit Committee. She has also held various senior roles on diversity initiatives and was previously Chair of a diversity network.
