Objective

JPES was appointed in 2020 to ensure that one of the UK’s leading pension providers was leveraging its market position to gain a stronger share of voice in institutional and national media titles.

Approach

As part of this remit, JPES conducted a media audit of senior pensions journalists to understand their existing perceptions of the client and then delivered a tailored relationship building programme based on the findings. This included a series of bespoke virtual media events, proactive commentary and conceptualising and launching a climate pensions tracker.

Result

The client’s share of voice increased significantly in the targeted pensions universe, with overall media coverage rising significantly year-on-year in institutional titles.
