JPES, the specialist communications consultancy to the investment sector, has announced that Rob Treich has joined the firm as a Consultant, further strengthening its advisory capabilities.

Rob recently stepped down from his role as Head of Public Markets at the London LGPS CIV Limited (LCIV), where he was responsible for developing and overseeing public market investment strategy and product selection to meet the needs of LGPS Partner Funds. Rob also served as Interim Chief Investment Officer during his time at LCIV. He was previously Director of Investment Solutions at the Coal Pension Trustees Investment Limited (CPTI) where in addition to developing investment processes, managing and monitoring portfolios, he led strategic initiatives to allow the organisation to invest in alternative assets.

Bringing more than 30 years’ experience in the investment and retirement market, Rob has also held senior roles at Mercer and Mellon HR & Investor Solutions.

In his new consultancy roles at JPES, Rob will advise clients on a range of key issues relating to supporting their business development, including product positioning and audience engagement, as well as providing insights into the UK local authority and corporate pensions market, to support the firm’s clients in meeting their long-term commercial growth goals.

Julian Samways, Founder and Chair of JPES, commented:

“Rob brings a wealth of experience from his work in the UK pensions sector which will be extremely beneficial to our clients, particularly at a time of significant upheaval within the space. Industry consolidation and increased competition means that investment businesses must work harder than ever to differentiate and position themselves for growth. Marketing communications is a critical part of this, and the practical insights that senior industry figures like Rob can offer is invaluable.”

Rob Treich added:

“Changing dynamics within the UK pensions market have created a challenging environment but also real opportunities for those investment businesses that can clearly demonstrate an understanding of the landscape and the merits of their approach. I look forward to working with the JPES team and building on the strong reputation they have developed for aiding businesses in understanding and positioning themselves to meet the needs of investors.”
