The keynote address was given by Colliers International’s Chief Property Economist, Dr Walter Boettcher, and was followed by a panel discussion with Helen Gordon of Grainger; U+I’s Matthew Weiner; Hines UK’s Ross Blair and Madeleine McDougall of Lloyds Bank.
JPES Head of Property, Duncan Lamb, reports: “The debate reflected just how much more investor interest there in the UK regions – although clearly London is still a primary target for many.
“A show of hands at the end of the session just favoured the regions so maybe we are approaching a watershed moment which will see a more even distribution of real estate investment across the UK”.
