Crafting a post-merger narrative

Objective

To review the corporate narrative of a leading investment manager following the merger of two businesses, and to communicate the value and strategic benefits of the enlarged group to clients and stakeholders.

Approach

JPES led a corporate messaging exercise, facilitating one-to-one workshops with management and leadership figures within the business to define the combined firm’s USPs and to identify supporting case studies to evidence the new narrative.

We used the resulting messaging and tested it with internal and external focus groups to ensure alignment with all stakeholders before rolling it out across communications and marketing materials.

Result

A refined corporate narrative, reflecting the combined entity, that formed the basis of a series of interviews and profiles for the CEO across major media outlets.
